Dear Readers, We are happy to report that we have arrived safe and sound in beautiful Ocean Springs, MS. The drive began in a snow encrusted Wawa parking lot, and within half an hour, one car (the boys...) had disappeared to be stuck behind snow plows for the better part of an hour. Never fear, however, because the boys powered through lunch to make it to the Tennessee border first. Music included Britney Spears, the Shins, and Mansfield Park by Jane Aust (her debut rap album). We spent the night with our friends from Stockton College (Happy Birthday, Emily), and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast at Waffle House before hitting the road. After a mere 8 hours, we arrived here amid brilliant rhododendrons and flowering kumquats. From group #2>>> Day 1 Princeton, NJ to the ATL. We are lucky we didn't kill anyone. Consumption of raw milk. Day 2 Atlanta to Ocean Springs. Sweet stop-over in Montgomery, AL, including roadside bbq (tomato based), the first white house of the confederacy, and the civil rights museum, where we signed our names to the wall of tolerance. Were surprised to discover we were on time, thanks to Mississippi's location in the central time zone. Yeah Jules Verne.
